CASE STUDY

A renewed Full-Service partnership focused on restoring reinvestment discipline, reducing financial risk and rebuilding gaming performance.

The Challenge

After transitioning from Gaming as a Service to an Advisory model in 2022, responsibility for gaming investment and decision-making returned to the Club.

Key challenges included:

  • Limited internal gaming expertise
  • Inconsistent reinvestment and an ageing gaming floor
  • Gaming capital competing with broader Club priorities
  • Declining competitiveness and local market share

Between August 2022 and October 2025, the Club completed only the level of machine and game investment normally recommended for a single year..

The Approach

In November 2025, the Club returned to a Gaming as a Service model, establishing a more structured approach to investment and gaming floor management.

This included:

  • Onyx purchasing the existing gaming floor
  • An immediate deployment of five new gaming cabinets
  • Guaranteed annual machine refresh cycles
  • Data-led product selection and ongoing optimisation
  • Management of purchasing, suppliers, deployments and Gaming Monitor liaison
  • Business Intelligence reporting and local market benchmarking

The model removed the future capital burden from the Club while retaining venue input into gaming floor decisions.

“Gaming as a Service has given us confidence that our gaming floor is well managed and optimised, allowing us to focus on the broader Club.”
